Hey there and Happy November-ing!

I hope you all are enjoying the cooler weather (yes!), shorter days (no!), and plentiful cornucopia of gourds (yum butternut!)

So a couple of new things here at the Shop:

The one thing that all concerned business owners hate to do, but have to do: after nearly four years, the time has come to raise service prices.

*crickets chirping*

Are you still here?

I’m not trying to take this lightly – I hate this.

But my product suppliers are charging more, shop expenses and support costs are rising – all of which could render my business unprofitable if I don’t increase service prices. If my business is unprofitable, Molly’s Wax Shop goes bust. But I think – and I hope you will agree – that it’s a minimal increase: beginning in January of 2016, all services will be an additional three dollars. I ask humbly for your understanding. And I give you a promise that we will continue to provide you with the friendly, specialized, professional, and client-focussed experience that you’ve come to know here at the Shop. THAT’s not changing. When it comes to your body and your health, you really do get what you pay for.

Of course I can’t offer low, devalued prices as do chain wax stores or big salons – after all, we are still a small local business. But at least I can balance out the price increase with something I’ve been wanting to provide for a long time – a LOYALTY REWARDS program!! Because although new clients are great, the fact that you keep coming back for your monthly dose of torture is what keeps our little shop stay afloat. And you should be appreciated for that.

So also starting in January, every tenth service is FREE! We’ll make sure you have a receipt sent to you (and we’ll remind you, too) through the Square Register at check-out, and you’ll rack up the points. When the time comes for your tenth appointment you’ll get a special code in your inbox. Let us know the code, and your service is on us. But if you forget to bring the code that’s okay because we can certainly look it up for you!

And please understand there will be a learning curve for us here at the Shop while we get used to how this will work out, so please do not hesitate to ask questions, share concerns, or provide feedback.
